Thanks for sharing this. It was a little scary at times on Elm St, but it could have been worse. We went out afterward and the water in the rivers was wicked high! There was video on News Ten Albany of a car caroming down one of the rivers. CVS was closed by around 12 noon and it was almost impossible to get from the center of town to Home Depot, which was still open.
To all of my friends in Bennington, Arlington, and Manchester, I hope you are ok, and I’m so sorry about all of the damage Irene did. I hope to come up to help in the near future. During the six years I lived in Southern VT, we never had anything as devastating as Irene happen.
